Empty Space

Wall works and objects in pigmented resin, wood, glass and aluminum: fragments of color suspended in frames, scattered across walls and set against bare ground. Lavoy described each piece as a calibration exercise — a frequency from the body, made visible.

Exhibition text

Calibration exercises

“Nothing exists except atoms and empty space; everything else is opinion.”

— Democritus

English

All the pieces in Empty Space are frequencies emitted by my body, dictated by the subconscious mind. These are calibration exercises. The final result is a wave — the piece — which, emitted towards dark matter, will travel the universe until it returns to me again.
